Position Overview & Specifications
- You will promote high environmental, health and safety standards and behaviours for yourself and your co-workers.
- Develop and improve hydrometallurgical, thermal and concentration processes in conjunction with production, customers, external technology suppliers, JMTC and other members of the technical team.
- Monitor and analyse hydrometallurgical processes and data, supporting resolution of issues proactively identify out of control processes and investigate root cause in a timely fashion to minimise impact on Business and Operational performance.
- Use knowledge of statistical analysis and data visualisation packages (e.g. JMP, Minitab, Tableau, etc.) to provide robust data driven solutions to technical problems, and to communicate these findings in a clear and professional form.
- Undertake bench, pilot and plant scale experimental work as required to meet
- Work closely with and support other technical functions in the implementation and early production stages of new feeds and processes.
- First degree in Chemistry (or similar) based subject. Essential
- Master’s degree or PhD in Chemistry or similar natural science-based subject - Desirable
- Experience within process development or relevant operations experience - Desirable
- High level of numeracy working with systems and data - Essential
- Ability to write technical reports detailing Problem resolutions, process improvements and experimental findings in a clear and evidence based way. - Essential
- An understanding of heat and mass balances, P&IDs and PFDs and other process docs Desirable
