Catering Operations Manager Cadbury World

Are you cocoa nuts about chocolate? We have a fantastic opportunity for a chocolate loving Catering Operations Manager to join the Amadeus team at Cadbury World.
Amadeus, multi award-winning caterers, are a division of the NEC Group operating at venues and events in Birmingham and beyond including the NEC, the ICC, Resorts World Arena, the VOX and Utilita Arena Birmingham.

We have a fantastic opportunity available to join Freddo, the Caramel Bunny, Bertie Bassett and the team at Cadbury World as a Catering Operations Manager who can cover all aspects of catering operations on a day to day basis running numerous outlets situated across the venue. You will also need to support a wide range of hospitality events and conferences.

Your role will be predominately based at Cadbury World however at times you may be required to work at the group’s other venues and events. Reporting to the General Manager of Regional Venues, your main duties will be to deliver excellent customer service and maintain a high standard of customer management. You must have a flexible approach to work in a 7 day a week operation - hours can vary each week depending on the nature and volume of the business hours will include weekends and bank holidays.

Team work, good time management is essential to able to meet deadlines and deliver exceptional customer service at all times as well as being responsible for:

• Building and maintaining the commercial relationship with the client to manage the daily contractual obligations.
• Managing and improving financial performance of the catering operation in designated areas in line with annual budget.
• Auditing, monitoring and taking necessary action in regard to all Company and Legislative procedures and requirements.
• Assessing organiser visitor requirements, implementing new methods to plan and operate more efficiently and effectively in maximising contribution. Use innovative ways to exceed customer expectations in catering delivery.
• Recruiting and developing team, monitoring performance of staff using appropriate measures and timely feedback.
• Controlling all resources by use of effective control systems to prevent loss and or over expenditure and to minimise waste and maximise cost effectiveness.
• Accurately forecasting the financial performance of the catering operation, and taking appropriate action, reacting to business needs.
• Enforcing the standards agreed in the SOPs manual of the operational area.
• To develop the teams within the operational areas.
• Control of the temporary labour budget.

This position is ideal for a forward thinking manager who wishes to progress their career within Amadeus. Previous experience is essential.
